Maia Ruth Lee is an artist and educator born in Busan, South Korea. Lee’s recent exhibition is currently on show at MCA Denver through August 2021. Lee’s other solo exhibitions took place in 2016 and 2018 at Eli Ping Frances (NY) and Jack Hanley Gallery (NY) respectively. Lee participated in numerous group exhibitions including the Whitney Biennial 2019, CANADA gallery, Studio Museum 127, Salon 94 in New York, Roberts & Tilton Gallery in Los Angeles. Lee was director of Wide Rainbow, a non profit after school art program from 2016 to 2020. Lee’s work is held in the public collections at the Whitney Museum of American Art. She lives and works in Salida, Colorado.
