205 Hudson Street is pleased to announce an artist talk by Marc Handelman as part of MFASO Fall 2016 Lecture Series. Born in Santa Clara, California, Marc Handelman is a painter based in Brooklyn, New York. Handelman’s work examines our understanding of Nature that is deeply His work refers to stock images, art history, and corporate environmental reporting. Through his paintings, Handelman investigates what is unnatural in naturalisms, and challenges the separation of Nature and Society.
Marc Handelman received B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design, and M.F.A. from Columbia University. His work has appeared in exhibitions at Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, P! in New York and American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York. Handelman is currently a faculty member at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey and represented by Sikkema Jenkins.
