The Hunter College MFA Program in Studio Art is pleased to announce Part I of the Fall 2019 MFA Thesis Exhibition at 205 Hudson Street, November 14 – 30, 2019. The exhibition will feature ten MFA candidates: Chase Bray, Chip Chapin, Miles Debas, Jameson Green, Khari Johnson-Ricks, Nicola Stephanie, Ela (Ye'ela) Wilschanski, and Xuan (Clive) Zheng. The opening reception is Thursday, November 14, 6-9pm. The exhibition will be open seven days a week 10am–7pm and is free and open to everyone. The exhibition will be closed on Thanksgiving.

Performance Program:

11.18, 6:30*-8pm
11.20, 6:30*-9pm
11.25, 6:30*-9pm
11.30, 4-8pm: Closing Ceremony + sunset procession to Pier 34
*doors open, performance program begins half an hour later.

The eleven artists in the exhibition represent an array of art-making practices, including painting, sculpture, photography, video, performance, and site-specific installations. More information about the artists and the exhibition is available here.

The Hunter College MFA Program in Studio Art is a competitive and affordable three-year program providing a rigorous immersion in the changing ideas and forms of contemporary art. Located in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood, the program offers students the time, space, and an interdisciplinary framework in which to develop their artistic practice.

MFA faculty include Carrie Moyer, Drew Beattie, Andrea Blum, A.K. Burns, Daniel Bozhkov, Joel Carriero, Susan Crile, Lisa Corinne Davis, Constance DeJong, Chie Fueki, Aaron Gilbert, EJ Hauser, Anthony Hawley, Valerie Jaudon, Cameron Martin, Mary Mattingly, Dave McKenzie, Jeffery Mongrain, Paul Ramirez, Reiner Leist, Juan Sanchez, Alex Segade, Nari Ward, Tom Weaver, and Brian Wood.
